Burst - Illustration Friday

My Homemade Candle

I have been making home made candles today.  I am not keen on the colours but I have brought some different coloured dye for the batch which I will make for the Christmas craft fair.  The jam jars are left over jam pots from work.  They normally get thrown away so I feel I am reincarnating them.  Hope you like them who ever is watching my blog.

One Last Bee for this Evening!

Coffee with the Bees this Afternoon

My bees have been created with coffee and black pen which bleeds.  I love this effect and I haven't used it since college.  I used to use this technique in a dark context but I feel it fits well with my bees.  They look so cute but have an underlining sting in their tails!

Beth's Bees

Since my deadline for Illus 330 and an inspirational trip to Tintagel I have been working on a series of drawings and paintings of bees.  I wasn't able to access my work for over a week so I needed to keep myself busy.  I have been really enjoying working on this summery project.  I plan to continue with Bad Burney when I get back to Suffolk so I can get some more inspiration from the NT house I work at.  In the mean time I hope you enjoy my Bees.   BUZZ BUZZ!

Bad Burney is my character for my next book.  Its about a really naughty boy who becomes a little monster when he has
a chance to be really bad.  His poor mum is always cross!
To the left is Burney, the middle Bad Burney and to the right is Mum.

Lets all be green with Maurice Mouse you know you can... Why not try one green thing today.  This morning I was tidying my desk and someone had put almost an A1 sheet of cardboard in the bin. This is so bad as there are recycling bins everywhere and it would take nothing to put everything in the right bins.  If you see something like this do something about it...

Lets be Green

I wasn't feeling that my pink blog was quite me! So I made it green instead as I feel it reflects how I feel.  It is important to be green and love the earth we walk on as who knows how long its beauty will last.

Illustration Friday 'intention' Image I did for a module on context

Illus 310 module putting my work into context.  I put this image of a woman in the garden on an organic poster as I think local and organic produce is well worth getting, especially if it is free-range and fair trade as well :)
